The Challenge

On 15th June 2018, we will set off from Marble Arch on a world first expedition. The mission is to get from London to Svalbard, an island in the Arctic, by human power alone.

Our route will involve running three marathons from London to Dover; swimming 21 miles across the English Channel; cycling over 2,000 miles from Calais to Tromso, in Norway; and finally rowing 700 miles across the Arctic Seas to Longyearbyen, on the island of Svalbard.

.

Our expedition is in aid of the Scouts, helping over 450,000 young people across the UK enjoy fun and adventure while developing skills for life. Through an inspiring programme of 200 different activities, girls and boys get the opportunity to develop the confidence, resilience, team-building and leadership skills they need to succeed.

The Scouts have been an important part of millions of people’s lives. Please show your support by helping us raise over £100,000 for this great cause.

An incredible expedition that will test the team to the very limits. I so admire the team’s spirit and courage – and raising funds for the Scouts is such a powerful way to change many young lives. Thank you.

Rob and Poldy are undertaking an incredible challenge in aid of a brilliant cause – raising money for The Scout Association, providing nearly half a million young people with the skills they need to succeed in life. As a rower and Scout myself, I could not wish them more luck. Go for it guys, and thank you on behalf of the whole movement.’
